1,800 sf first floor renovation
Originally developed as a high-end spec home, this residence was polished but generic, defined by dated finishes, limited natural light, and a floor plan that prioritized size over function. For a young family of five, the goal was to transform the house into something brighter, more cohesive, and tailored to daily life.
Working closely with the client and interior designer, the renovation focused on reimagining the home’s interior organization and material palette. The floor plan was carefully reconfigured to establish clear adjacencies between living, cooking, and gathering spaces, creating a more open and intuitive flow throughout the main level. Light now moves more freely through the house, strengthening visual connections to the outdoors and enhancing a sense of openness.
Refined yet durable materials support an active, family-oriented lifestyle, balancing warmth with restraint. The result is a home that feels calm, considered, and personal, where thoughtful planning and timeless finishes transform a once-generic structure into a welcoming, functional family residence.
